Trust and data handling

Privacy.

A plain-language explanation of what the October pilot collects, where information goes, and what Pulpit & Knot does not store.

Newsletter subscriptions

When the newsletter form is connected, an email address is submitted directly to Kit for subscription management and confirmation. Pulpit & Knot does not separately store newsletter addresses in the website’s database. Kit processes subscriber information under its own privacy terms.

Campaign information

The site keeps campaign parameters, such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content, and term values, in this browser tab’s sessionStorage so a later signup can retain its source. They are submitted directly to Kit with the signup, along with a placement such as homepage-top, october-page, or footer. Email addresses are never stored in sessionStorage.

Match corrections and contact

The correction form privately stores the page or speaker, the visitor’s explanation, an optional replacement link, and an optional contact email. Submissions are available only in the site owner’s signed-in correction inbox and are never posted as public reviews. The owner uses this information to evaluate and improve tie recommendations.

Retailers and external sites

Shopping, conference-source, and other external links lead to independently operated websites. Those sites may collect information or use cookies under their own policies. Pulpit & Knot does not control their data practices.
